DAWAN MOSES

Secretary, SPA6 Homeless Coalition

Director of Outreach and Engagement at St. Joseph Center.

The St. Joseph Center’s mission is to provide working poor families, as well as homeless men, women, and children of all ages with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable and self-supporting members of the community. Dawan also managed Rapid Rehousing programs for all target populations so he’s able to speak and advocate on the challenges facing both outreach and housing for those populations. He was born and raised in South Los Angeles and remains a current SPA6 resident. He says, “As a child my family and I were homeless so I have a passion for serving our homeless population.  I have directly seen the impact that gentrification has had on the homeless community and I want to be a part of the plan and movement for change.”
