Vice Chair, SPA6 Homeless Coalition

Senior Manager for Homeless Systems Integration at the Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System (HOPICS), a division of Special Service for Groups.

In her role, she provides direct oversight for Service Planning Area 6 (SPA 6)  (South Los Angeles, Compton, Lynwood) Coordinated Entry System for Homeless Single Adults (CES) with specific emphasis on regional coordination and homeless street outreach. Additionally, she is responsible for overseeing temporary crisis housing for families working directly with the region’s family solutions center and local housing providers. She wears other hats that enhance her ability to serve the local community, which include serving as the SPA 6 Regional Homeless Advisory Council Representative and the local representative on the Measure H Planning Committee.

 

Marion has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach. What she is most proud of, however, is that her testimony has given the empathy and compassion necessary to work collaboratively with individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Her personal experiences afford her the ability to help others navigate their human experience.
